The Adult Critical Care Chapter is the largest chapter in the Saudi Critical Care Society. We aspire to connect adult critical care physicians across the country to disseminate knowledge, advance learning, and improve practice standards. We hope to contribute to the Saudi Vision 2030 by improving critical care in the country and the region.
To be recognized as leader of adult critical care Medicine reaching the whole kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the promotion of the highest standards of care via education and professional development.
To provide a comprehensive, updated guidance in ICU management, to applying current evidence-based ICU practice, training competencies, to support the needs of education via building bridges, collaboration and academic network across the kingdom.

Members who are active and interested were selected in collaboration with the chairmen of critical care departments in large academic hospitals in Riyadh along with members from all the regions of the country.
Head of Adult Critical Care Chapter:
Dr. Elhazmi is currently a Consultant Intensivist in Dr. Sulaiman Alhabib Medical Group, HMG, and Head of the Department in the Adult ICU of Olaya Medical Complex-HMG since July 2020. She is also the director of Adult Critical care medicine Residency and Fellowship Programs at HMG. She worked as a consultant intensivist in the Adult critical care and cardiac intensive care departments in the King Faisal specialist hospital and research centre, KFSH&RC, since 2016. She was the Co-chair of the Hospital-wide Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, ECMO, Program in KFSH&RC. The program was recognized internationally as a Center of Excellence designation at the golden level by the international Extracorporeal Life Support Organization, ELSO, in May 2019.
Dr. Elhazmi is involved in academic, training, and education activities in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Countries. She participated in multiple courses and international conferences as a speaker and course director. Moreover, she is a member of the local training committee for the Saudi Council for Health Specialties at KFSH&RC and the former fellowship training Program Director.
She graduated from King Saud University College of Medicine with Honor Degree, obtained her SCFHS- accredited Saudi Board in Internal Medicine and Saudi Fellowship in Adult Critical care medicine at KFSHRC Riyadh, KSA. She had pursued further training in North America. She obtained the Canadian fellowship in Extracorporeal Life Support, Mechanical Cardiac Support, and Adult Transplant Critical Care from the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada.
