Welcome Message

The Saudi Critical Care Society (SCCS) is a non-profit organization for Critical Care professionals to promote scientific knowledge and evidence-based practice in Saudi Arabia. The SCCS was established on 11 June 2006 under the umbrella of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, based on the SCFHS's executive board recommendation, which was approved by the Board of Trustees and signed by his excellency the Minister of Health in Saudi Arabia.

SCCS vision is "To be the leading and most reliable critical care society in the region." Based on the vision of the SCCS, society has achieved a growing number of memberships and event attendees in addition to its ongoing growth in scientific knowledge share, whether in scientific arenas or its community involvement during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was achieved through:

  • Restructuring the SCCS Hierarchy to serve society's needs and vision.
  • Headhunting highly effective leaders and valuable national and international Human Resources to lead society's different departments and activities.
  • Headhunting highly effective leaders and valuable national and international Human Resources to lead society's different departments and activities.
  • Develop educational and training activities in quality and quantity to meet our senior and Junior healthcare professionals and undergraduates' needs for training and education.
  • Investing in and supporting scientific research and publications.

The new structure and strategy will allow the SCCS to be more focused on its next phase of growth and community involvement.   Our shared values are phrased as "Science and Compassion results in Creativity and Success." We believe that knowledge with the right motives "Compassion to patients, families, community, and colleagues" always results in more passion for success and empirical outcomes.   This year we are celebrating our 14th anniversary. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Board of Directors, the Executive Team, Chapter Heads, and our active members for their remarkable work to move forward with the SCCS's strategic goals and objectives. Finally, I extend the SCCS's gratitude for the support we have from our government and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. We also look forward, and we believe that we will have a remarkable contribution to achieving the Saudi Vision 2030 in the healthcare sector.
